dont know, but I make sure to pay for cash in many things and I regularly try and get discounts for paying in CASH, whether at a farmers market or discount store

Cash is NEVER going away. There are legal and illegal transactions conducted with cash that simply cant be done otherwise.

Our government has a BLACK budget you dont hear about. You wont know about. For example, during the initial start of the Afghan war, we bought influence with a shit load of cash (converted into their local currency) to keep certain Islamic groups allied with the Taliban from entering the fray

We will NEVER have a completely cashless society if you understand what "cash" is. Cash is anything we want it to be, anything any group agrees can be used to exchange goods and services.

One scenario:

take digital currency buy Gold and Silver. Use gold and silver to trade among friends or conduct business ala "John Wick" and various murders for hire' interaction with the Continental hotel.

Another scenario:

take digital currency and buy baseball cards then little timmy and his friends trade good and services with untraceable cards

They must have been shocked by the 20+ RED state governors that came out the next day and said NO
