Agreed. I'm just not sure what is designed to do. As a depop weapon is not very effective. There are other ways to kill a whole lot more people in a shorter period of time. Maybe you're right, and the Romans exterminated most of the so called Jews at the time. Then they formed the Roman province of Syria Palaestina during the wars 66-136CE.
