I wonder how the GOP can try to swing this one as a benefit to the American people. Trump called for increased stimulus and his party straight dissed him.

I don't know that I would support any GOP candidate if I was a Trump voter at this point.

Republicans in the House rejected President Trump's call for increased stimulus for struggling Americans today. I wonder how the president's supporters feel about this blatant punch in the gut from GOP lawmakers.

Wouldn't Sidney Powell need security clearance to perform the duties of a special council if appointed by AG? That, in itself, would take weeks.

If it's just some symbolic position created by the White House, she could probably just get a title and keep doing what she's already been doing. I think she's fucking hilarious, but she's literally done nothing but sue in various jurisdictions and lose or have her cases tossed due to lack of evidence. I'd almost welcome the "appointment" for the comedic value alone.

Greatest wordsmith of all time or best orator ever?

It's too late for this to make any difference in the grand scheme of things. The only thing this would accomplish is to ensure Atlanta would burn to the ground.

Well, what's most likely is that Covid sucks and actually kills people who are in high-risk categories. Maybe, just maybe, Covid isn't a giant hoax and Trump understands that. It's not the black death, and yeah, you and I probably won't die from it, but a lot of people that have died from it probably thought that, too.

Either that or he's got investments in the companies behind the vaccines.

The president floating a plan to use the military to hold another election is a pretty wild conspiracy theory.

Not in any legitimate, meaningful ways.

That actually makes sense. There's 4 million more Americans now than there were in 2018, and only about half of all Americans register to vote. Half of four million is two million.

Of course, that's four million children and not voting-age adults, but every year, everyone gets a year older. If there were 6 or 7 million more registered voters in 2020 than 2018, then I'd question the maths.

God, Imagine if your name was Kovid. How unfortunate.

Elections are bad. Courts are bad. Congress will be bad when they certify. Take to the streets, my man. Go take your cult leader back. We'll be waiting to see how it goes.

60 courts, in 24 jurisdictions-ish, are all wrong?

Everywhere? Man, I wish I was on a beach in Cabo right now... alas. I'm not everywhere.

I mean, yeah, I've seen the evidence and videos and all that jazz. But, if there was anything there, one of the 60 court cases would have been like, "hol up, this is sus."

But, no court, even all of the Trump appointments, has looked at the filings and determined anything should happen. If there's evidence, show it. If there's proof, show it.

The only thing I get is that Trump supporters are upset he lost. If there are mountains of evidence, a court will hear it. If there's proof of election fraud, a court will ask to see it. That's just not happening.

My grandfather was a Mason. Always wore the ring. Always had the little emblem on the back of every Buick he ever owned.

Two years ago, he was on his deathbed. Out of the hospital, he had pancreatic cancer that was inoperable. I spent a lot of time with him in the last few months before his death. Eventually, he was unable to walk or move much, so he stayed in bed 24 hours a day.

One night, we were watching Jeopardy (he loved Alex Trebek), and I asked him about the Masons. "What's the big secret? What do they know that everyone else doesn't?"

"Nothing," he said. "It's a good 'ol boys club for men who want to play golf and network."

That was it. I was bummed out. I thought for sure he'd give me something, anything to go on. He often said he would sponsor my membership and even taught me a special handshake when I was a kid.
