Have that ballot. You have to be fairly careless to do that. But abundance of caution, good for her for caring.

Ballots don't have to be mailed. They can still be dropped off at a polling station or secure ballot box.

You should hear some of the PhD s I know. Unless they're speaking jargon, they sound like Valley Boys.

Being able to spell on cue isn't the same skill as public speaking.

She speaks like a 14 year old, so what? You didn't actually expect her to use a bunch of ten dollar words in a normal conversation, did you?

And why are you reading Teen Vogue anyway? That's faintly disturbing. The adult version is trashy enough, but at least an adult male could justify perusing the photos.

Zinc is an important micronutrients. True. It's used in a myriad of ways.

Having said that viruses can cause long term and /or permanent damage in some individuals. All kinds of viruses, not just COVID-19. Doctors used to know this.

To see so many of them be SHOCKED! SHOCKED! by post viral malaise or systemic damage as if it's something novel or new is just one more data point proving whoever is training doctors is doing it wrong. They've become a technicians rather than mechanics with a diminishing understanding of the machine (the human body) on which they ply their trade.

In Tennessee, February is always the coldest month of the year. That is to say, if winter is going to be cold, February is the month for it. Ironically, January can be quite pleasant.

There's exploring history, and then there is policing people's reaction to their lived experience by what you feel is an appropriate response.

Maybe it is your lived experience that is coloring your reaction to these photos.

Are you a what is done is done, today is a new day type?

Or are you the type who gets stuck on past failures and losses and can't let go?

I see happy people making most of a good night, because they know what a bad night really can look like.

That you are suspicious of happy people is suggestive that perhaps your own outlook is a bit grim.

I'm also old enough to have run across a few numeric tattoo wearers in the wild. The Holocaust happened. It was just one more attempt at genocide in a long, bloody world history of them.

There is so much going on in today's world to rail at. Why not direct your energy at doing something to correct an ill that has an impact on your own generation?

Nope. But I am old enough to have lived through some crappy times and know better than to dwell on them.

They SURVIVED! What were they meant to do, go around in sack cloth and ashes in remembrance of all of the people who didn't? Maybe, just maybe, they thought living life to the full was the best revenge.
