Do not become an organ donor because if your brain stops and your heart is still beating the doctors will murder you for your organs.
It is possible to wait for someone to become a full corpse before harvesting the organs, but due to risk of rapid organ decay after death, many doctors will not wait for the organ donor to be 100% dead.
Your body cells literally start to self destruct when your heart stops, so if you becone brain dead while your heart still beats, the doctors will be very hasty to tear into you for those sweet organs.
The problem is that there have been cases of someone showing no brain activity (being brain dead) while awake.
There have been cases of someone having brain activity while being in a coma.
Brain dead does not always equate to being 100% dead or 100% doomed to die, but most doctors do not care because they want your organs.
