Yeah, I've heard this one. It's interesting until you get Chinese historians into the mix. Then it all falls apart.

Europeans have this weird tendency to forget that China also has a history and was at many times far more successful and prosperous than anything going on in Europe.

It's the 21st century, just like everyone thinks it is. It is 2,025 years since Gaius Caesar became consul of Rome, which turned out to be the event we count time from.

Even if you doubt the reliability of European record-keeping, the Chinese were quite good at it, and it all lines up.

No, the modern system of counting time (Anno Domini or Common Era) did not start when Gaius Julius Caesar became consul. The current calendar is based on the traditional birth year of Jesus Christ, a system established centuries later (around 525 AD).

Dionysius Exiguus was trying to peg the common era to the birth year of Jesus Christ, but he got it catastrophically wrong, and Yeshua of Nazareth was already five or six years old by the year 1.

Instead, he pegged it to the consulship of Gaius Caesar. Not Gaius Julius Caesar; Gaius Caesar, Julius's great-great-grandnephew.

Oopsie doodle.

Yeshua of Nazareth

There are a lot of things Christians have been deceived with, including the name Yeshua, which is not Jesus. Today Messianic Jewish teachings and rabbis confirm that Yeshua is the Shekhinah (the manifest divine presence of God). The concept of Shekhinah, derived from the Hebrew root for "dwelling," denotes God's visible glory, which traditionally departed the Second Temple but is believed to have returned through Yeshua’s incarnation and ministry.

Get your things right if you're a Christian, remember Jesus is Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous) in the NT. The OT available in most English Bibles today (including KJV) is based on the Masoretic Text (completed circa 1009 AD), not the Septuagint, which was written much earlier in 285 BC. Masoretic tradition reflects the theological priorities of the Jewish communities between 6th and 10th century AD, and was written by the Rabbis under the influence of Rabbi Akiva ben Joseph who is referred to in the Talmud as the “Chief of the Sages”, a well-known Jesus hater.

I used to believe the same as you do, that Jesus/Iesous is the same as Yeshua. Until I did some research and realized I have been deceived, as most of the Christians out there. The term Yeshua is not used in the New Testament, not even once. In the NT the name of Jesus is consistently rendered as Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous). And it's not because the NT was written entirely in Koine Greek, it's because the writers understood the difference.

BTW, do you know Jesus & the Apostols never (not once) used any names for God: Yahweh or Jehova. We find YHVH or YHWH (the Tetragrammaton) for the 1st time in the Masoretic Text. It was introduced by Jewish scribes. Jesus & the Apostols addressed God as Father, Abba in Aramaic and Pater in Greek, with the two terms often used together to convey both intimacy and reverence, or Greek Kurios (Lord). God's name is Iesus (Iesous).

The New Testament is written in Greek, and Jesus did not have a Greek name. He had an Aramaic name because he was a first-century Judean. His name was almost certainly יֵשׁוּעַ. Ἰησοῦς is the closest the Greeks can come to rendering יֵשׁוּעַ, just as "Yeshua" is the closest the English and Americans can come to rendering it.

Greek doesn't have an "sh" sound, and it requires all masculine names to end with a marker that's usually an s. So the Greek name sounds considerably different from the Aramaic one.

In a true game of translation telephone, his name went from the Hebrew/Aramaic יֵשׁוּעַ to the Greek Ἰησοῦς to the Latin "Iesus" to the medieval English "Jesus prounced Yay-soos" to the modern English "Jesus pronounced Gee-suss."

But his real Hebrew/Aramaic name was, at least approximately, Yeshua. (The "uh" sound at the end is the best English speakers can do. Just like with Greek, the English tongue doesn't handle the consonant Ayin well).

Rabbi Mordecai Griffin, a Messianic Jew, explaining to his congregation not to follow Jesus, but to instead follow Yeshua, who Rabbi Mordecai explains is actually Shekinah, the feminine Kabbalah Messiah, not the Jesus Christ of the Bible. In Kabbalistic literature, the manifestation of the Shekinah in the universe is Mimtet (also spelled Metatron or Mem-Tet). imtet is Yeshua

The New Testament is written in Greek

I know that, the NT was written entirely in Koine Greek.

Greek doesn't have an "sh" sound

And the rest of your message... like I said I used to believe this as well. It hit me hard when I realised I have been deceived. Then I started to research intensely.

Mimtet is Yeshua and is a complex angelic entity in Jewish mysticism and Torah literature. Watch this short clip, Rabbi Mordecai Griffin tells you everything, they don't mind using the word Yeshua... they know. Yeshua is the manifestation of the Shekinah, who is the feminine aspect of God. The Kabbalah teaches that earth is part of the creation and the creation is suspended in the which God has created.

timeline

A line moves...timing it tempts one to ignore being (life) moved within a line (inception towards death). The trick is based upon taking measurement while ignoring given delineation.

missing timeline

Timing (possession) tempts being (potential) to miss linear motion (procession).

a past that never existed

Delineation implies the bending (life) of a line (inception towards death)...the suggestion of past > present > future tempts ones mind to ignore the line of progression and ones existence at the center thereof.

Life (present) cannot perceive its inception (past) or death (future)....only the in-between presence. There can be only now...not any before or after.

everything moves

Each thing within can be tempted to ignore being moved by holding onto measurements...which represents nothing other in reality than ones ignorance of everything.

who would rewrite

Anyone who RE-sponds to what another WRITE-s while ignoring the natural RITE of passage. Writing represents the distortion of delineation.
