Could you come to terms with the notion that there is no meaning; simply existence?
Existence itself has its own meaning, it's the ultimate tautology, that you're part of whether you want to be or not.
Your continued part in existence is voluntary, but the first law of nature is that creatures that are alive seek to continue to live.
Mostly, anyway.. But most seek to live enough to be able to control them with the promise of continued life.
All creatures naturally seek homeostasis.
Indeed, thats how evolution happens.
