Tropic of Cancer (23°26′09.1″ N)
Equator (0° latitude)
Tropic of Capricorn (23°26′09.1″ S)
Antarctic Circle (66°33′50.9″ S)
The "tropics" are where the noontime sun can be directly overhead at some time in the year.
The imaginary lines just tell you what the sun does in that location.
