The World's Fairs always seemed weird to me. The structures just seem far too elaborate for temporary structures and not just the structures but the landscaping and everything else. We as a society have never done anything that elaborate for any temporary event ever. The temporary structures we build today for massive events pale in comparison.
The USA is supposedly doing a 2035 World's Fair that's supposed to signify a new golden age or something. If this World's Fair can't be as elaborate looking as what we've seen from the 1800s then it really begs the question of what's going on.
With that being said, there was a lot of tricks in photography even at this time to make things appear better than they were. We know today the official photos of things will look way better than how it was in person.
They weren’t meant to be temporary. They were built for the events in question with the intention of thereafter being used for future fairs or other exhibitions.
Jews conquered the entire world in 1945, so trying to judge the past based on things today is idiotic.
