Anime, Manga, and all other forms of "graphic novels" (comics etc), including all cartoons and other animation; has been a tool for propagandizing children from the beginning.
You complain about gays or stereotypes in your anime, find me one that doesn't have any. Go all the way back to the 90s or even further. Every single one has themes related to multiple of these complaints.
