Please submit requests for the next round table discussion in this thread for vote.
Post will stay active for 3 days til 3-11 (Thanks to Plemethrock for the new 5 day request and 3-4 week discussion suggestion!)
and highest submission will get it's own stickied thread.
Black holes.
Or we could have a joint discussion on both black holes and moderation as there are apparently eight accounts in favor of discussing moderation but saying nothing.
Black holes would be fun! Have you been studying up? I am not very knowledgeable but it is fascinating and I would most likely be able to contribute something, even if I end up looking silly.
A little bit since the dead horse thread.
nice
Username u/veryOrganic doesn't check out.
Graph won this one, but I see black holes in the future. OoOoOoOoooo
The worldview expressed in the Law of One/“Ra Material” and the Hidden Hand interview

The way I see things, these two sources explain existence, the state of our world, and the meaning of life far more accurately than any other. One is a “channeled” work, and the other is a long series of Questions and Answers between a conspiracy forum (RiP ATS) and a self-proclaimed world-controller. I see them as complimentary, showing a deeper reality by showing two sides of the same coin. One side being that of Service-to-Others, and the other being Service-to-Self
Sounds very similar to the stuff I know about the Most High God (edit; and the war against Him), sounds cool!
Looks like you win!
Roundtables and featured documentaries are gonna stay open for 3-4 weeks now after a very helpful suggestion.
These two reads gave me a far deeper appreciation for, and understanding of, the Bible than I had before - while also provoking me to look deeper into it, especially the “hard to understand” parts.
Edit) also, yeah, that was a good idea to make these last longer. Especially in this case, both are relatively long reads, so even people who want to contribute will take a while to, probably.
That's awesome!
This will be good stuff I think, as I stickied your suggestion I'm at the end of the featured doc refresher and the phrase 'hidden hand' chimes in, so funny!
Im a big believer in the idea that synchronicities are how God/the universal consciousness communicates with us temporally bound critters
💯
Suggestion for a discussion:
Why is this person acting like a mod when nobody voted for him?
The mod position is actually in effect, technically speaking.
What are your questions and concerns about current moderation technique?
Are you here to disrupt or positively contribute?
The only concern I have is the sheer amount of round tables we have. There such a common occurrence now that we don’t have time go in depth into the topics and nobodies going out of there way to comment on them because there just seen as another common post.
I honestly think they should happen every 3-4 weeks only.
That's a good idea, I was thinking maybe 2 a month but can backtrack that to 1 a month. I've been excited to have community stuff again but it is feeling rushed.
What do you think is a good amount of time for requests?
4 days for requests. People should have more than a weekend to respond to the request threads imo.
Wanna try a Friday to Friday request then by Saturday discussion post for 3 or 4 weeks? Now I'm concerned the request line should be generous too.
At this point I would keep current request threads for vote til this upcoming Friday.
Imo, a whole week seems kinda long for requests. a good middle ground would be 5 days for requests. By the 5th day, the top request would’ve most likely already been decided. It’s your call though.
Sounds reasonable. I'll edit the current request threads with the end date for submission, 3-11.
Thanks, dude, this was super helpful.
We have a lot of folks still who haven't learned to step up. 5-7 days before a topic is decided IMHO. (I stepped up when the first request was made but this month I haven't felt the community wants to hear my suggestions; but now that it's not too curious about proposing its own I might join in.)
If people thought it would be worthwhile for someone to summarize the views of the roundtable when discussion quiets, I might volunteer.
5 days seems reasonable and I'm grateful for this more relaxed state of procedures.
(I'm secretly hoping I win the featured documentary thread)
I can imagine a summary being very worthwhile to the community, way to step up, Fren!
Seems like the mod is pinning posts that everyone here ignores... I wonder why...
Probably because nobody voted you as a mod, so they express their position in a way to avoid the 1 year ban you put on people, who disagree with you... technically speaking...
How is that working out for you? Tumbleweeds?
I've been banning for disruption and major rule violations, member?
Why do you keep doing this? You gain nothing and waste your time.
You keep proving you are only here to troll and that is bannable. Stop now.
Just noticing how you try to be a mod, while your posts remain empty... :D
Yeah, scratch that 3-day rule, so you can wish for at least 1 last-minute submission from somebody, while you ignore your own rule... :D
Tumbleweeds abound... :D
"Please submit requests..." -> And nobody does... :D
:D Watching your downfall is pure justice. Do you wonder if they all ignored you? You're the mod of nobody, elected by nobody. Fair reward for an unfair player, wouldn't you agree? :D
"The king is naked!" - shouted the boy. (It's from the tale "The Emperor's New Clothes". You might want to look into it...) :D

Because six or seven names were proposed by community members and admin selected from among them. Several community votes were held but there was more nonparticipation than participation. Anyone can post relevant vote questions at any time, but since she was modded not a soul has proposed a new one. Would you like to try yet another community vote on a simple binary question to see if another option has more traction? You can do that right now. But for the sake of making it a round table discussion, I voted you up anyway, even though the answer appears in the first sentence. Perhaps you want to clarify more specifically exactly what you think there is to discuss.
Wait... the mod is a woman?
Yeah
Ok, fair enough.
Hi Beast. Why don't you propose a question to the community to obtain its consensus?
Hello newcomer who is asking the same questions as accounts banned as probable sockpuppets. The answer is that it's not contradictory for a post to stay active beyond when it says it will stay active for. Plus the OP has now changed and states the reason straightforwardly so that even a newcomer can understand it.
You seem to imply there is some injustice going on. As I've said, the fact that a vote is sparsely attended should be taken as indicating it's not a strong consensus, rather than that legalistic rules should be imposed by newcomers upon moderators entrusted by the community whom the community has found no consensus fault in.
