Because having kids is not a good thing in itself. It's not good to have kids that are subjected to a broken home and parents that don't want them.
And how did you determine they were that old? By looking at them? I notice not one single old earther has EVER, at any time, plucked a leaf and dated it. Or took a freshly cooled piece of rock and dated it.
