namely Yahweh, Yaldabaoth, Demiurge, or Creator

Take all the time you need, and definitely read the Apocryphon of John.

Yahweh and Yaldabaoth/the Demiurge are the same entity. Samael is another name of Yaldabaoth that means “god of the blind” to gnostics. However, I know Samael can have a different meaning depending on tradition.

And Yahweh/the Demiurge is the grand architect of the imperfect world we live in. He also created Adam, the first man, but could not grant him a soul due to the absence of his connection with the Pleroma. That's when Sophia stepped in, having already repented, and provided the divine spark. IMO, all by design. But, many would argue Yahweh is the creator of an evil and imperfect world. And they may not be entirely wrong... all you have to do is look around, look at us humans. I rest my case.

IMO, Yahweh created the world this way in order for humans (us) to be able to exist, and it had to be that way. The FALL didn’t occur with Adam & Eve, it happened before the world’s creation with Sophia. But Sophia repented, and the Father agreed to bring her back to the Pleroma once what had become lacking in her (us) was restored to its natural fullness. This is a process which is long, over many lifetimes, but time is of no consequence. Time is infinite, this lifetime is one experiment. If you fail, you'll get another chance. Eventually, you'll figure it out.

The world Yahweh created is specifically designed to make this possible. It operates on a fundamental concept of duality, it is structured by deterministic laws that yield regularity and predictability. In the same time this duality gives rise to the uncertainty that alters our perception of reality and our place within it. It’s like a dream/simulation. Many people believe we live in a simulation, and that includes Elon Musk. Have you ever had that feeling? Hindus believe we live in Brahma's Simulation/Dream. Ancient Hindu wisdom predicted simulation theory thousands of years before The Matrix and Hollywood. And they’re not entirely wrong…

Looks like we just crossed in the mail. So when you make these statements (some with sounds of certainty, some IMO), that's where I ask how we can come to agreement in our search for truth (point (a)). For instance:

all you have to do is look around, look at us humans. I rest my case.

It's not that simple IMHO. There are many answers to why evil exists besides this one and none of them are necessarily right until we start (scientifically) comparing hypotheses and inferring to the best explanation.

The universe is indistinguishable from a sufficiently detailed simulation (Math Universe Hypothesis or MUH) so we are free to call it one, and call it not one, as the context warrants. But you, or I, could propose methods as to point (a) such that we can be more certain of these answers with respect to each other's views.

I said that more or less as a joke. And I wasn't necessarily referring to evil, but, now that you mention... I was thinking more to an imperfect world from a human perspective. For instance humans live to be about 120 years old. However, Most animals’ bodies do not gradually degenerate as they get older the way our bodies do. But for humans once they reach about age of 30 their chance of dying doubles roughly every eight years. That's not true for animals.

Math Universe Hypothesis

The theory of everything, this is a deep rabbit hole. Meantime take a look at "Are We Living in a Brahma's Simulation? The Hindu Maya Theory Explained".

I said that more or less as a joke

I appreciate it then! It's hard to get to know a person online so as to be able to tell the intended intonations. That particular one gets around because Christians have argued theodicy for many years (the vindication of God in allowing evil) while atheists have argued nihilism for many years (evil and God are irreconcilable therefore neither is meaningful). But both that and maya are secondary IMHO. The way threaded conversations work, sometimes we get into multiple branches, and right now I'm still looking at this link as the main branch. Also an interesting aside:

But for humans once they reach about age of 30 their chance of dying doubles roughly every eight years.

We do have a unique curse on us. Having looked into this before, I was going to question your math, but you seem to have it close enough not to quibble. The usual measurement is risk of dying in the next year, which at 30 is about 1/1000 and at 110 is about 1/2. But there's another fascinating phenomenon, namely that it's not fully exponential but begins to taper off after around 70-90, where tapering means the risk begins to plateau and essentially ceases to increase. You still have a high risk of death but it doesn't get any riskier after a point approximately at 110. That means that for some people, every day they live their life expectancy goes up by a full day. That encourages me to aspire that every day I live I increase my life expectancy by a full day or more (some days it's doable).

But that's all to say we have uncountable rabbit trails. I do have a tendency of redirecting people to whether they have made a personal commitment to truth because the nature of their commitment helps me understand how to approach disputable topics. Thanks!

There are many answers to why evil exists

OK, why is the world so evil? here is my opinion, but first let's take a look at evil happening in our world today.

Rather than talking about Phoenicians and their children sacrifices, or Romans and their human sacrifices (although they called it triumph), and many others in history, let's look at Gaza where Israel was bombing and still killing people today. Almost half of the population of Gaza is made up by children. What's happening in Gaza is genocide an extreme form of evil. What I would argue though is that the truth is far more disturbing. What is really happening in Gaza is not only genocide but a ritual sacrifice.

Ritual sacrifice happened often in human history. For example the Aztecs. We've dug up temples of the Aztecs and inside the temples are thousands and thousands of human skulls. So before they went to war, they practiced human sacrifice. They would commit mass murder of their enemies in public. I already mentioned the Phoenicians who were famous for a particular type of ritual sacrifice which is child sacrifice. And the Romans that after every major war, they would capture all the major leaders, all their enemies, and they would parade their enemies through the streets of Rome. This is something called the triumph. At the end of the triumph, they would gather enemies at the temple of their god Jupiter, and then they would strangle to death their enemies.

Why do the Phoenicians, Romans, Aztecs do it? And why is it today the Israelis do it in Gaza? Why? Because 47% almost half of the population of Gaza is under 18 years old. And we can all see it for ourselves, it's almost as though the Israelis want us to see it and want us to hate them. Why allow horrific videos to be uploaded to the Internet? there are actually much more effective ways of doing that, poisoning the water, vaccines which cause fast cancer. Why bomb the Palestinians on national & global TV? when they could do this secretly and no one would talk about it. IMO, they want the world to hate them because by doing this they create the ultimate taboo. So the entire world will unite against Israel, which is exactly what their religion wants. They believe that at the end of the time, Israel will fight the entire world and God will help Israel triumph in the end. The entire idea of this ritual sacrifice is to unite the Israeli population (and jews all over the world). And they do this, because it works.

What's the worst thing, the most evil thing you can do in a modern society? killing children right? that's evil to everyone, but not to them. They tell each other stories And then these stories become a common myth, a founding myth of why they're here. And they come to believe that God has chosen them to save the world and that's why they're here. Then they will create a new religion and start to develop rituals to reinforce this religion. These rituals include sex, to create intimacy and bonding among them and there'll be a lot of religious rituals as well. But this is not evil to them, only a natural progression... just ask Ghislaine Maxwell (since you can't ask Jeffery Epstein any longer). They've got the capacity to work together. They have a hive mind. They're really energized. They're really inspired. They're really driven. They have a new religion all to themselves. And best of all, it's not EVIL.

I agree we probably have worse ritual abuse than any time in history, and what Trump's done hasn't lowered the numbers yet. This forum loves comparing them. Now, I've learned a bit about Judaism so I can say you're speaking e.g. of Frankism but not of Hasidism (among many isms), and there are indeed many Frankist Jews who are working that particular narrative. Of course, since I've got Paul, I have one of the clearest rejections of that narrative, namely, "Shall we do evil that good might result? Their condemnation is just." (Note, there are blamers here of all kinds, and since the biggest forums on Scored are nominally "no racism" forums I have a personal preference that we do not judge the innocent with the guilty, but I am all in favor of naming any guilty parties or groups, like JE/GM, in which membership constitutes willful contribution to collective guilt; so, if you want to blame, I trust you do so according to a just standard.)

If we agree that good and evil exist, then conscious beings have limited free will to choose between them (only the Monad has totally unfettered free will). The universe also has the property that if you choose evil your ability to choose gradually shrinks, and if you choose good your ability to choose gradually grows. It's a vast universe, and so we've had trillions of evil acts, many billions of heinous and destructive acts. The question from the standpoint of good is how much evil should be allowed, and what we find is that there's enough that we also have many people turning from evil out of their free will to learn to pursue good alone. We could imagine a world with less evil or with more evil, but, between the history in which evil gets itself restrained sooner or later and the prophecy in which we are assured the same will happen to any evil at the right time, it doesn't seem like our imagination would do much better in setting the right limits on evil than the created world already sets.

The remaining question is then whether the Monad participates in evil by allowing free will. No, because free will is a good gift, whether it's abused or not. God is not the author of evil, but you could say he's the Author of authors of evil. He gives us power to choose and if we consistently choose poorly we face natural consequences; that's good natural law. Natural law also ordains that the person who chooses evil cannot perfectly achieve the evil he chooses, because it is ultimately a contradiction: he can only achieve what is permitted by natural limits, he cannot kill and destroy all that he wills to. And we have an early statement, Gen. 50:20, that it's possible for God to will, with a good will, that people achieve certain things with their evil will. The illustration is given that God can use people's evil will to achieve further good for all people, both to feed the innocent hungry and to give mercy to the guilty that some of them might turn. So God does no evil even though he gives creatures free will to do evil.

When you see the problems you describe, speaking out against them (and refining your evidence to get much more specific) is part of the good you can achieve, and it contributes to repelling the evil even at its core. There are some things happening with this cycle of ritual abuse that will never happen again because humanity's collective memory will forbid it in the future. I mourn the evil but I look for what is happening to get us past certain levels of evil in history. Now, others can take other views, but that's how I navigate. Bringing it back one topic, the physical is not evil in itself but is being redeemed, and so I don't give Samael the credit of being able to corrupt things that badly. Rather there is good news that monadic natural law restrains evil sufficiently for each day.

I can say you're speaking e.g. of Frankism but not of Hasidism (among many isms)

No, I'm speaking of the Jews. But things are actually much more complicated than that. Actually I'm talking about EVIL, and the Jews are a construct and tool of the evil empire. In other words, they're really the middle managers, to the ones who helped and continue to help manage the empire. Evil needs middle managers. And for the past few years, the Jews have served this purpose well. You may call them Sabbateans, Frankists, Deep State, Cabal, international bankers, whatever... to me they're the shadows and they make all the money. And it's really the Jews that get all the blame.

The British Empire for example, it controlled the whole world. But, it went bankrupt because of evil, it used the Bank of England as a Ponzi scheme. It needed people to buy into into the empire for it to continue to be successful. The grand strategy of the British empire was to create as much chaos and conflict possible in Europe and elsewhere. You always want your enemies to fight each other. So, this is the evil the core strategy for the British empire, pretty simple to understand.

The remaining question is then whether the Monad participates in evil by allowing free will

Now you speak as if the Monad is Yahweh which is God. Is not, Monad is the supreme/absolute consciousness, complete fullness (Pleroma) and total absence of evil. And this is not an insignificant theological detail. Once we understand the difference, it completely transforms our understanding of Christianity, the very nature of prayer, and our own connection to the divine. Jesus never prayed to God. He prayed to the Monad, the primordial source that exists beyond the creator, the absolute consciousness that precedes and transcends the divinity that shaped our material universe. None of the the manuscripts say that he prayed to God. They specifically mention that he prayed to the Father. For Gnostics, who represented the original Christian understanding before its appropriation and distortion by the Evil Empire (Rome), the father is not the creator God. The creator god is the Demiurge, or Yawheh, the architect of the material world, an entity believed to be the one and only God, but which in reality is merely a distant emanation of the true source. When Jesus uttered the words, "I and the father are one," he was not claiming to be Yahweh. He was describing his consciousness in complete fusion with the Monad with the ultimate source beyond all creation. This distinction changes everything we thought we knew about Christian spirituality. Observe carefully how Jesus prayed. He did not plead. He did not beg. He did not ask for permission. He spoke as one who already possessed access to the infinite power: "Father, I thank you for having heard me. I knew that you always hear me.". Always. Not sometimes. This is because he was not communicating with a deity subject to moods and preferences, but with the immutable source, the Monad. Who does not judge, who does not decide who deserves to be heard. The Monad is pure consciousness.

Bringing it back one topic, the physical is not evil in itself but is being redeemed

With this I agree. Remember Frankists believe that they were and are saving the world. But, they believed they had to destroy the world in order to save it. The Talmud says that Moshiach will come when the world is in a state of chaos and the foundations of society are crumbling. And all these made perfect revolutionaries. On the other hand Christians believe that they must use Jews as a pawn in order to force the return of Jesus.

Frankists were/are also very materialistic, they believed that the body was more important than the spirit. So, both the Frankists (Frankist Jews) and the British (also Americans) they wanted to obtain power through chaos, instability and regime change and both were very focused on the pursuit of wealth and power. So these were natural allies. Another example of an evil alliance is of course the Rothschild banking dynasty. This is the Rothschilds who own/control the Bank of England and Federal Reserve, with the British Monarchy. And this alliance goes back hundreds of years.

British (American) philosophy at this time is (and was) controlled by the Freemasons. But that's another deep rabbit hole, and we'll discuss in more detail another time. For now I just want to say the British/American philosophy at this time was/is controlled by Freemasons. And the main purpose is to really deny God and truth.

How do you determine evil? Human sayso? Why not base your morals on how a fish swims?

Thanks for admitting God wrote His Laws on our hearts.
