Digital ID is just a system that consolidates all your life data on one ID so a cop can look at it and know exactly who and what you are. Then they can use that info to abuse you. Same with other agencies like the IRS.
The Digital ID is basically the bridge they want to use to Digital Currency which they want to attach to the ID with the excuse that it is "convenient" but trading personal Rights, Wealth, and real security for convenience is a bad trade.
Later they would like to consolidate all this into a chip that goes in the hand. That way a cop or whoever always has access to your data. Hackers do too.
