Based on this comment I assume you're Jewish. In Hebrew, the term Satan is usually translated as “opponent” or “adversary”. I believe the term is used twice in the OT, once in the Book of Zecharia and the other time in the Book of Job.

What are you talking about? Hebrew is an ancient language. Modern Hebrew is the official language of the state of Israel, an artificial construct that did not even exist before 1900.
As for the term Jew, that didn't even exist before the 18th century. Sheridan used it for the first time in his play "The Rivals", I think it was in 1735. You said Satan functions as an "accuser", that's why I thought you believe in the Talmud. BTW Samael is synonymous with Satan, also called the angel of death. If you pay attention most names used in the Bible end in El. Some begin with El, like El-ohim. Sama-El means "Name of God", just as Micha-El means "Who Is Like God", Gabri-El means "Man Of God", Dani-El means "God Is My Judge", etc. Do you know what Isra-El means?
