I think her mom brought her in with the knowledge that Arthur Freed wanted to have sex with her little girl.
A grown women wouldn't be embarrassed if a man made a pass at her. Her mom was quiet because she was ashamed and scared what she might have put Shirley through.

well what's going on with that Shirley Temple testimony clip.. I grew up as a kid in the 70's.. so if you're younger you wouldn't have experienced that.. she was a child actress in the studio system. So her saying this stuff.. and she's talking about like the head here.. you know what I mean.. those names.. Don't they have oscar awards with these guys names.. like come on.

But I watched a documentary on the p*dophilia around Shirley Temple and I am utterly disgusted... It's beyond horrible, if you see what they made her do at young age... Although you have seen some of it, I fear to show you the documentary...
