Yea and it can't happen in this situation. Civil war in a republic requires that states elect governors who openly support succession. None of the US governors do.
So what do you get with civil unrest and no succession? Authoritarianism crackdowns. You are seeing the left support Ukraine and the Christian right support Israel. You are seeing the left support open borders and the right skipping due process of law for deportation. Both sides are being driven against the constitution.
Who is supporting not funding Ukraine or Israel? Who is saying the borders should be closed and people be processed for deportation, even if it clogs up the courts?
The most radical position in today's America is to reject both parties.
I'm Christian right and I in no way support Israel. But I get the idea, because many do.
