With most of the smaller earthworks and things being plowed over so they could build farms and parking lots.
Most of the big stuff was built farther south where the weather was more consistent all year.
Also, id be a knight, if thats a option. Samurai sounds cool but I dont really vibe with japanese culture like I do my ancestors culture.
Supposedly, portsmouth ohio was built on top of a serpent mound that was much bigger than the one that was left today. Supposedly it could be seen from every hilltop around the area. Im willing to bet there were hundreds, if not thousands of sites like this.
