I don't have the breath or sources to defend this now, but he lumps The Gospel of Thomas in with a handful of other gospels that were written later. I think this one predates those and would be contemporaneous with Mark or the "Q" source. I spent a lot of time on this in college, before the internet – so, my apologies for not having sources.
