His Firmament quote on headstone is pretty revealing. Maybe symbolism for hiding demons amoung us as "mere aliens"

Crowley's letter to Parsons about being a misguided literalist knucklehead for attempting to bring about a literal Red Whore of Babylon is pretty revealing. His demon 'blew him up real good.'
