Today is April 14. Today is Nisan 16, the Feast of First Fruits. Today, almost 2,000 years ago in the year 30 CE, on Nisan 16, Jesus rose from the dead after being murdered on Nisan 14.

On Nisan 14, the Jews rejoiced; on Nisan 16, the Jews mourned. At his death, they laughed; at his resurrection, they wept. They were so angry that they began to invent lies. The Jews claimed that his apostles had removed his dead body from the grave to fake a resurrection. The Jews lied at his condemnation; the Jews lied at his resurrection. Whatever the Jew does is deception and playing games.

And even though the Jews killed the Messiah, they didn't stop the bloodshed; they began to persecute Christians, not only in Israel but even abroad. Shortly before the Jews stoned Stephen, he delivered a powerful speech against them. A speech that summarizes the relationship between the Jews and God, a speech that exposes the evil of the Jews. You can read his speech in chapter 7 of Acts.
