This new "Islamic" government has given an entire neighborhood in Damascus for "Jewish investment". The neighborhood is called Jobar and it contains a supposed old Synagogue. The Germans are going to pay for the renovation of the Synagogue and surrounding area. That area has been completely demilitarized and local Syrian residents were forced to sign agreements to give away their homes for very little compensation and were not allowed to renovate. Jews will soon be able to go by car from Tel-Aviv to Damascus without any checkpoints.

BTW that photo below is not a real photo. But his wife probably does look like this but I think if they intend to keep him he might do a new look for his wife and have her show her face and take a style similar to Erdogan's wife. The same way they made him wear a suit and a tie and shorten his beard they will probably somewhat improve the look of his wife. Also, no one is sure of his origin. He could be crypto Jewish.
