Dr. Josef Mengele.. who was doing scientific experiments on them.. just casually bails outta there.. goes and hangs out in Argentina in July 1949. Died, 7 February 1979 (aged 67) São Paulo, Brazil. Surprised he didn't wind up working for the US military, in Operation Paperclip, like lots of them. (en.wikipedia.org)
