What a fun episode that was, wasn’t it? Such drama! Such suspense! That’s what happens two-thirds of the way through a season of television, yes. Viewer retention starts to fall off, so the showrunners need to drum up interest again. They’ll do a two-parter episode with a cliffhanger and really do a big media push for the cliffhanger to get people watching again.
