There was an interesting post on Reddit the other day about how the first winner of a beauty pageant in Iraq was a Babylonian Jew. Renee Dangoor. It was in 1946.
At the top of this article about her , it mentions how she met with Iranian royalty for the anniversary of the founding of the Persian Empire. The article was written by her daugther, and has some interesting points about it (none in a good way tho).
I didn't even look before, but the website is a journal for the Babylonian Jews, run by a Dangoor as well.
Beyond the phonetic similarity to "danger", the name actually comes from Moses's blessing of the tribe of Dan "Dan Gur Aryeh" - "Dan, the lion's roar" in the Bible - a blessing for strength and courage.
The tribe of Dan was specifically for their pagan practices and "gross idolatry".
Arabs fronted the money for the building of the Temple of Solomon.
Maybe history doesn't change.
We are definitely still feeling the consequences of the fall of Babylon. :)

Just saying.
