I didn't shift at all. Who controls the economy if not the bankers? That was not always the case and at the time of the crusades the economy was in the hands of the state and the church. But yeah, I'd argue the crusades were about conquest and resources and the ideology came second. If that weren't the case explain why the Vatican did jack shit to prevent the Ottomans raping and enslaving half of Europe's Christian population?
As for Napoleon, you guessed it, it was the bankers once again. Napoleon became his own banker and they weren't having it. Sure, there are other factors at play in all those events but we're talking about the origin and the primary movers. Here's the rundown: https://youtu.be/IKuVO4JaqBY?t=2758
All wars are bankers wars =/= all wars have economic causation. Economic considerations happen naturally as part of a war, either before or after, because wars are won or lost by logistics.
Well, you could argue those things...but you'd be wrong.
I see a Nazi making Marxist arguments and naming the Jew...oh the irony.
True. My argument was it became solely bankers wars after the bankers took control of international finance obviously.
You need spectacles then. I'm neither a nazi nor a marxist because I'm Orthodox Christian and my faith is incompatible with any secular humanist ideology.
Well, I would say your defense of Hitler, who is really a mixed bag, is incompatible with Orthodoxy as I understand it. I get attacking usury and usurers.
Now I expect a complaint about the 4th Crusade, and that explains your foolish assertion that the Catholic Church was going soft on the Turks, never mind they expelled the Mohammedians from Spain and Italy and Poland, etc.
As opposed to what? Would you say the same if I came to the defense of the allies? Do you want to bet who's more anti-christian - nazi Germany or the modern "liberal democratic" west ran by those who hate Christ? My defense of Hitler is not endorsement of his regime but acknowledgment of the truth about recent history. I'll stick with the truth and that's as Christian as one can get.
I mentioned the crusades to point how the Vatican went conquering Jerusalem for economic reasons but wouldn't help Byzantium fend off the turks because there was nothing for them to win out of that.
