June 4 — is the 35th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre.
Hong Kong’s Catholic Cardinal Stephen Chow recently said that “what happened 35 years ago has left a deep wound in parts of our psyche, though it has been buried and scarred over.”
The cardinal recalled his own experiences of protests across China in 1989, while adding that his own faith “prompts me to forgive whoever and whatever.”
Here's betting they forgive this guy on his way to a gulag somewhere. They don't give a shit he's in Hong Kong anymore, it's one country, one system..
Here's also betting some China defenders are on their way.
That's what they want you to see. Meanwhile the Maoists cancelling people on the streets and beating them to a bloody pulp for a decade is considered nothing short of heroic and even the Far left and Antifa are mimicking Maoist "protest tactics" and are venerated by the same people who are heavily critical of June 4 and Hong Kong as "heroes".
Also America sold Nationalist China to the CCP. It's a controlled demolition.
