I know he was found not guilty but some of the jury said they only came to this conclusion because of Rodney king

The OJ simpson trial introduced at least two things into the american cultural lexicon:
-DNA and DNA-evidence
-“The N-Word”
Noone i knew ever heard of DNA before this trial. Also, everyone just said “nigger.” Or they would say, “the bad word for negro,” and then use their mouths to shape “nigger” without actually speaking the word.
Like when a black man was talking about being verbally harassed by some redneck, he would say, “he walked up to me and called me a nigger!”
Instead of today: “he walked up to me and called me ‘the n-word.’
You’re missing the point altogether. “The N-Word” as a euphemism… As a voldermort type thing…
This was proliferated by the trial.
The lawyers were grilling the LAPD, “have you ever used the N-word” and they were like… “what is that?”
Like “THE F-Word” is a euphemism for FUCK and everybody knew that one.
