The primary reason though is that at no point in your post did you ever ask the question "Why are there so many cat pictures?"
Instead, you first state your observation
Ever since this site enabled profile pictures I'm seeing an unusually high number of profile pics consisting of AI generated cats.
And then, you give your suspicions on why you're seeing it. You give your own answer even though you've done zero research. The only question that you ask is what people think about your conclusion
