It's nothing new, From early days of internet. (((|))) is menorah smile. I mean old-time hardcore smiles, made from ASCII characters by real men, not that modern hipster woke Unicode emoji idiocy.
PS: I don't recall that anybody used menorah smile to mark jews. People just wrote "jew" or "kike" in plain text in the past, if necessary. Both, "jew" or "kike" just shorter than six brackets. Menorah smile used mostly in Jews' signatures or among Jews to congratulate each other with Jewish holidays.
