No that was just my favorite part , but you're right the Ned Beatty part was spot on way ahead of its time (or maybe right at the time and no one realy paid attention until recently).
I've never seen the whole movie but seen some clips. Certainly ahead of its time.

Which is why it's so funny when so many people thought the Roman empire is ran over by insane kid raping lunatics for thousands upon thousands of years when the history books are written by Jews and Rabbis. Ironically Europe still had higher living standards during the Roman empire when being ruled by "insane emperors" compared to the when it was under the Jewish Vatican. I bet this is deliberate.

a) Few suggest "happening" to distracts many from discerning to be effect (perception) within cause (perceivable), hence KNOWL'EDGE, noun - " perception of that which exists"
b) Another word for happen is "occurrence" aka OCCUR; verb - "meet in argument", which is why many are reasoning against each other over what's happening.
c) The decision to think about what happened or if it happened, tempts one to ignore the decision already made to ignore perceivable for suggested "news".
One perceives N(orth) E(ast) W(est) S(outh) from the center thereof, while focusing on suggested NEWS reduces ones sight within surrounding.
