Can you give me an example of a comprehensive atheist worldview or ideological system shared in an atheistic society that you wouldn't consider religion? Aren't liberal democracy, libertarianism, progressivism, industrialism or the postulates of "free market" capitalism a religion too? They have their dogma, their saints, their feasts, their sacraments. It sounds to me you use a very wide brush describing what religion constitutes. Communism and similar "scientific forms of government" (yes, it was called that) may employ certain aspects of Christianity and Judaism and treat the leader as a prophet/messiah/demigod, but they are still based on materialism and on things of this world - the metaphysical aspect of christology, salvation, eschatology, theosis is completely absent there. It's a very low effort imitation and inversion of what Christians believe.
I rebuke everyone who professes a form of Christianity outside the Church's doctrines and who perverts the faith (including evangelists and the Vatican). Have you noticed both communists and jews hate Christians? Not so much any other religion - they don't tolerate Christ in particular. Maybe it has something to do with the fact communism is a jewish psy op to begin with (85% of the communist party under Lenin was jewish).

If you mean the type practiced by Americans then sure but I'm sure their religion is all around contempt for humanity in general, if they run out of people to kill they just kill their own. Also the Khmer Rouge and the Maoist CCP killed Bhuddists with Christians. The Khmer Rouge caused the mass exctinction of Muslims in Cambodia. The Vatican started by killing every single pagan and gnostic in Europe. It's just there are no Bhuddhists for Stalin to kill in Russia 1917.

Even if I grant you that, why would that be wrong in your worldview? Didn't the pagans wantonly kill Christians and jews in Roman times? How can you claim "Vatican bad" when you don't have a standard for good? Show me one non-Christian state in history, where people of convictions opposite to the status quo weren't prosecuted. Because it seems to me your beef is not with religion at all but with human nature which always seeks to eradicate ideologies perceived as threatening the one in power. Since you're an atheist why do you consider it wrong that the more powerful oppresses the less powerful? Isn't that what nature is about?
