How do you determine who the "original inhabitants" are? What about the people who may have lived there prior to the jews? What objective historical account would prove that? How do you know today's jews are the descendants of the jewish tribes from the Torah? Should modern day Macedonians make claims to Greece because they believe they're the descendants of Alexander the Great?
Atheists claim the Bible narrative is a hoax so it can't be used as proof.
You can and you'll find they're not the same people. They may have similar genes but the tribes don't exist anymore and the covenant God made with Israel (Abraham and the jewish people) was with those tribes. That's why the new covenant was between God and the people within the Church (the new Israel, Christ's Kingdom) and not with the jews.
You're seriously stupid. There's no hypocrisy in my position - you conflate your views with mine. I never said the land belongs to whoever was there first. I don't care about historical claims because everyone could make such claims. My problem with the state of Israel is that there were people living there when it was astroturfed and it was done in a hypocritical way after WWII when the powers that won instigated yet another conflict that was unnecessary in a time when the world has moved past colonialism and conquest. They did it because they had to serve their zionist masters.
Little do you know that I'm from the region and know the balkan history much better than you. Macedonians make endless idiotic claims and no one outside of that small country believes them or takes them seriously.
Ok, I'll try stooping to your level for a second here, slowboy.
The Bible isn't just a historic document - it's divine revelation, a religious text. Tell me how an atheist, a person who doesn't believe in divine revelation, could determine which parts of the Bible are true and which are make belief? Same goes for all mythological narratives. For hundreds of years people thought the Trojan war is entirely fictional.
I don't believe might makes right because I'm Christian. Was it right for muslims to conquer half of the world at one time? I don't think so but they did and no one had a say back then. Is it right for the zionists to take over Palestine like they did? I don't think so but they did and people call them out. Again, It's generally agreed that the middle ages was a different time where conquest was seen as perfectly normal. That's not the case in post WWII world where the whole war was sold as morally justified defense of the peaceful democratic West (in league with the socialists) against evil Hitler's conquest of the world. Then shortly after the war they proceeded to conquer Palestine to make a home for the poor victimized jews. The same double standard is evident in the treatment of Russia's invasion in Ukraine and Israel's genocide of Palestinians. This is hypocrisy.
