There was a whistle blower that posted the exact amounts that reddit was paid for by the DNC for control of r/politics. IIRC it was 8mil to buy off all the mods and 2mil to spez.
He also posted how much the JIDF paid for control of thedonald. A few days later all the mods were banned except one ... the IDF account.
It wouldn't surprise me if that was true. Controlling the narrative is important to the establishment. I mean look at what happened to twitter before musk took over. The staff were like 99% democrats. That's not an accident.
