I wouldn't say you're reading too much into it. The backstory of the link to the Syrian video was strange to begin with. It was from "The Intel Drop", who on the same day posted that same clip included in three variant stories:

It was an odd situation I've never seen before.

That site gathers together some dynamite stuff that's very difficult or impossible to find elsewhere, but the price seems to be that they also publish a smattering of Trump Derangement and unhinged anti-GOP stories. It was basically the same deal as at Gordon Duff's previous site Veterans Today. Normally it's really easy to steer around.

This was a novel situation. Maybe the price of allowing him to operate got raised to publishing less obvious disinfo. Hard to figure out what's happening behind the curtain.

I just hope one day we won't have to look for gems by wading around a cesspool like this.
