Well it doesn't hurt to try and remove your data. Good on you.
I just don't believe that any of the companies actually delete their crown jewels.

I usually take your stance. But, I'm a bitch that paid attention to a specific topic that if you look it up gets a family member. When I removed my data, I nagged them into the removed papers on the topic.
What about the data they sold to a 3rd/4th/5th… party before you removed data.
Previously you had to take that data to a 3rd party to get more precise information. Now they want to sell that to you. If I lived in a different state, I may not have done it. But, the state of Maryland os very anti privacy.
Did you have a lawyer look over your original contract?
