Why didn't he take them off? If I started hearing voices after getting a new device I would have taken them off asap or had someone else wear them for a few days to make sure I wasn't crazy....

I was forcibly put on zoloft and heard voices. I knew what changed and asked if I could go off the meds. Of course, I was told no and placed on more meds and told that since I knew they were auditory hallucinations it was fine.

I would think no one was threatening to commit him if he stopped using them. I can't imagine an audiologist would just say to keep using them.

What if some malign agency like the CIA used Bluetooth (modern hearing aids can receive it) and sent him messages meant to drive him mad?

sounds like a disinfo with appeal to plausibility (see, it's not some voice to skull voodoo, just regular hearing aids). or maybe it's complete bs and they're just baiting people into thinking voice to skull was actually involved

I knew a girl who used to do those ear devices for people. She said the new versions all have wifi and other tech. Not very healthy for the brain.
