Tank was the main operator of the Nebuchadnezzar, meaning he was the one guiding the team whenever they were plugged in. He was very enthusiastic about the prospect of Neo being the One and was responsible for briefing him about how everything worked in terms of training inside a Matrix construct. Marcus Chong, who played Tank in The Matrix, did not return for the sequel, and thus the character ended up dying offscreen.
