Because i have discernment and deductive reasoning skills. Like many here, I can read between the lines— I took a course on documentary film in college and learned how to frame arguments, take things out of context, manipulate the viewer—
So it’s not about the documentary being “credible,” it’s what it did and didn’t show, how the edits were done, etc.
The most effective propaganda has bits of truth peppered in.
So you take what you know with you into the film, and not take everything at face value— just use logic, reason, etc. to deduce calculations on how likely something is to be true or false.
Why on earth would you think a doc on Netflix is credible in anyway?
