uses SOUND to break down

a) SOUND, adjective (Latin sanus) - "entire; unbroken"

b) being within sound (in sanus) and by sound (per sonos) implies as partial (growth) within whole (loss).

c) others suggest cancer to mean "tumor; swelling; growth", to distract one from being growth (life) within loss (inception towards death)...ignoring loss; swells growth.
