Then I tell people Israel should build a statue honoring Hitler in the middle of Tel Aviv. Which is significant since the name of the city is from the name of the first ship to set sail from Bremerhaven, Germany, to Haifa in Palestine (under Haavara). Then, I get a perplexed look, like I'm the one who doesn't know anything.
Worth mentioning about this ship, while its stern bore the Hebrew letters for its name, “Tel Aviv”, a swastika banner fluttered from the mast. I wish I could find a photo of that.
