"Both Sides" has always been both sides. Since before anyone alive today was even born. The times before Both Sides is merely myth and history written by the same Both Sides that wants you to believe that Both Sides isn't a real phenomenon.

A belief that Both Sides had a beginning gives hope that Both Sides will have an end. That's what keeps the slaves marching in circles forever.
