You know masons. Or freemasons. Some might tell you some things. They won't be killed for it. Times have changed and what was 'dangerous' information has leaked out. The esoteric is taught as history lessons, and symbolic stories. Much like Sunday School.

There are truths. Some seem deeper and harder won than others.
