I see this shit popping up more and more in discussions.
"Why do Americans kick kids out at 18??".
"Why is living with your parents in your 20's wrong?"
"Multi-Generational living"
An example.
To me it's enabling and pathetic, you'll never have a sense of self worth if you're not on your own.
Alexander conquered half the world in his 20's. (allegedly)
Lol, in his 20's.
He was 16 when his father left him to take care of the place.
Back in the day 16 was a full fledged adult who was in the prime of their life. Now we treat them like children who cant understand right from wrong. Society is a joke.
It's funny, make you go through 12 years of school, then another 4-8 for college. By the time your done, your to fucking old, tired, and had your dreams broken to change the world. All by design.
Also, people wouldnt be living with their parents if they could afford it. Although in places like appalachia, you very often still see grandparents in the home, and not stuffed away in a old people home like you see so often in mainstream.
Hey, we're not all faggots! But, damn if there isn't some motivation and curiosity missing from a lot of my peers, and most of the younger ones (I'm just a few years off from being an Xer). But, every time it seems like things are going well, there's a market crash, or this time the great plandemic, to RIP opportunities away. When it puts gaping holes on your resume, and you used your savings all up years ago, during that last big jobless period, economic downturns aren't easy to get out from under, even after the large scale numbers supposedly look good, again (but never as good as before the last crash, or the one before it, or the one before that one...).
Economic and social safety nets are almost gone, and what should be a minor emergency, that our parents and grandparents wouldn't have given a second thought, can set you back a year or two. I'm going on 40, and economically about where I wanted to be before 30. Finally having land and a house kind of feels like a pyrrhic success, now.
If I had kids, I'd take multigenerational living over a nursing home, especially today - make it worthwhile for them to either take over the home, if it's still in a good place, or sell it and we all move somewhere better. I wouldn't force them out into this toilet bowl of an economy, expecting them to succeed on their merits, either. Of course, I'd also keep them off of the internet, and without a smart phone, until at least 8, probably longer for the phone, plus do whatever reasonable to ensure they can act on their own, and have above a gnat's attention span.
Younger adults today are completely financially fucked, the economy has gone to hell compared to decades ago, as per usual tptb know how to play both sides, the lefties try to normalize poverty as wholesome and traditional while the righties blame the younger generations as simply being inferior, both sides keep their heads in the sand and aim to keep younger generations from reaching the point of revolution, whether it's the lefties trying to normalize it or the righties insisting everything is fine the people in their 20s & 30s just suck, personally I'm rooting for the zoomers I hope they snap and clean house, the millennials unfortunately bought into the idea that they are all just pathetic babies and became mostly a bunch of depressed doomers
... I can see your point. I agree that only males who left home by 18 or earlier and became self made multimillionaires while retaining compassion, generosity, civic responsibility and are gentleman, should procreate. Plus, having IQs higher than 130 and height greater than 6ft.
However, most societies across the world, have a support system that includes more than just a nuclear family. And it is common to stay at home /within the family until marriage.... even beyond marriage in many cases.
Even in western society, staying with family was normal. For example, Italians, although they are Europeans and not Anglos, they stay at home. During poverty stricken days of old, white people would bunk together.
That is no longer possible. Too many immigrants, too much education (hundreds of thousands of dollars) required, many more years delay getting into debt before you start marking money.
Boomers et al, deposited being given the greatest prosperity the world has ever known, still decided to rack up trillions of dollars of debt and said fuck it, the kids and grandkids can pay for my midlife crisis.
Those loans have interest being charged on them, as well.
Oh, the boomers are so righteous. Truly, the best living generation lmao.
As Biden said, for the first time, white Americans were a minority. And that's a good thing.
When stuff went bad, they would kick the can of accountability to the next generation.
They would blame millennial for ruining everything and putting stores out of business.
Oh wait pause, need to open the borders some more and give out more visas.
Ok back to bad millennials and stupid Gen Z.
Why don't they just get a job, pay off the boomer national debts, buy their houses and make them multimillionaires?
Oh what's that, since the boomers never established a familial relationship with their children, their kids will kick them to the curb in poorly run old age homes to be taken care of by the immigrants the boomers brought in?
But the millennials so bad. They control 3% of the national wealth (prior to covid lockdowns) so it's all their fault.
Oh wait, boomers being stupid naive brainwashed TV boobtube heads who passionately believe in their government heard about a flu going around and were happy that the entire nation shut down for a couple years to prevent them from getting sniffles. Since boomers are so selfish, never invested in a familial legacy, and are largely functional atheists, they care more about their lives then the afterlife, or the wellbeing of the nation/their kids.
Fucks the kids being forced to wear masks, being out of school, ruining them for life. Fuck the economy. Boomers are about to all retire and rack in those juicy pensions. Who cares that this is yet another recession/depression caused by boomers (who own the majority of the nation's wealth and could have collectively resisted lockdowns for their family) that the millennial have to go through. And lose possibly everything. Again.
The boomers probably are the worst generation (other than the greatest generation that created them) to ever exist. And I think a lost of people will be having schadenfreude when the boomers are stuffed in questionable old age homes or on the streets with no one to care about them.
In other cultures, that wouldn't happen because they develop familial bonds and everyone helps each other.
Oh well. 😎
It especially makes me laugh when I think about the reverse mortgages and stuff that boomers did to ensure they wouldn't leave their kids anything.
Literally in every other culture, people work themselves to the bone to have a better future for the kids and grandkids. Not boomers though. At best they work so that they can then play. Lol, history will not be kind :)
No one is going to buy your million dollar 3 bedroom homes. :)
I wouldn't nail the boomers hides to the wall over this because its everyone's responsibility.
