The water bottle was tested for safety at the factory in perfect settings. Then it gets shipped out, and has to deal with heat in the hundreds of degrees. It was not approved for that.
I had Ball explain that about why their mason jars were shattering in my freezer even though the packing says they can be frozen. They said, " It's probably micro fractures created during shipping. They left the factory perfect."
