They say, oh we scanned your consciousness. Usually they use this as a way for somebody to think, oh you can keep living forever. It'd just be a scan of what your brain remembers, wouldn't have any of the soul aspect. It doesn't take into consideration the whole "soul" aspect.

This Pentaverate, it's not just a scan of your consciousness.. they had to get the guy's soul.. so I don't know.
