The book is a sort of Willy Wonka / Snow Crash mashup.

The book is also way better than the movie which is essentially a big old Hollywood commercial with lots of fan service crammed in for neckbeards.

Hilarious.

The future of gaming is more like 60+ FPS shooters that require you to pay every other second for ammo and stamina, and the occasional indie game.
