That was before WWII, in 1920 and 1939-1940 wars.
It also continued after WW2 until 1956. After the Continuation war in 1944.
It is almost exclusively, the other was Communism, the reason for regional conflict.
Somebody started shipping them off to the Gulag
No, it never continued after 1944. In 1944 Finland, for obvious reasons break with axis and make a deal with Britain and USSR about ceasefire. It even have some fights with ex-ally Germany in Lapalandia in the beginning of 1945. In 1948 full peace deal was signed and everything was settled. In 1950s Finland already sell cheese and furniture to USSR, buying in return wheat, fuel, wood and machinery.
There was no any even verbal tensions between USSR and Finland after 1948.
Fall of USSR was a huge disaster for Finland, population wealth fall significantly at the time. Later, it was kind of restored, but now, it fall down again, because of stupid sanctions forced by Western masters on Finland. Finns fear that this NATO shit will make things even worse, however, nobody asked Finns about all that shit. Interesting, that here we still have a noticeable amount of imported Finland goods, despite all that insane crap. Normal people will always find ways to circumvent or don't give a fuck to stupid decisions or laws of authorities.
Not as simple as that. Areas were returned to Finland in 1956. Prior was the Gulag.
It's a hidden topic. Conspiracy. Why were on this forum.
The conspiracy being it was sparsely populated is a myth. Over a quarter of a million people, almost half a million were resettled. Many were Gulagged.
It of course was a main reason for conflict. Among a few other areas along the Northern border. But they're not quite the same history as the Southern Region populated.
Finland has always been a host to Nato arming via Nato. It was simply a Nato scenario its membership succeded no Questions. If Russia then Nato. That agreement or protocol is much older, we're probably talking since Nato.
It goes back to the height of the Soviet union, deflections, the border. It was a crossing point. Any scenario was established protocol.
Look at the ease it went through. Further the immediate installations and arms distribution. It was protocol going back decades.
Due to it Finland has always hosted Nato. I cannot remember any point where Finland wasn't training or buying Nato arms.
Borders between Finland and USSR was completely settled in 1948. Nothing changed since then. Not a sinlge square meter.
If you are not aware, state border of USSR was not just a line on a map. It was a noticeable structure along the whole border. If border ever changed later, remnants of previous USSR border will be perfectly visible on satellite images for centuries.
And all that western bullshit about Gulag is really boring annoying. Do you realise, that right now, right today USA have more inmates than was in all USSR Gulag structure at most moments?
All that bullshit picked out from asses of the whining Jewish criminals who was throw out and curtailed from power in USSR by Stalin is just yet another narrative of damned tribe.
No, USSR was not a jail-state, it had quite similar number of inmates in comparison to other countries. And far from USA overall by that parameter. You get that false impression of "Gulag USSR" only because Jews crying 24/7 about their ancestors who was not allowed to mutilate Russia at the time and jailed. Do you know that specific slang that criminals use in Russia is mostly Yddish?
Whatever, if that jewish myths constitue the base of knowledge about Russia and around, I'm perfectly fine with that. Just fascinating that someone who supposed to question everything didn't even tried to question all that Gulag myths or any other thing you think you know about Russia/USSR beforehand.
