a) growth (life) within loss (inception towards death) implies free "will" of choice, hence ones instrument of resistance.

b) resistance drowns within velocity, hence inspiring the need to grow resistance by resisting wanted.

c) hunger consumes everything within unless resisted by eating...others suggest stop (cessation of motion) to distract one from that.

d) slowly fading away represents ones lack of discernment about being slow (growth through resistance) within fast (loss through velocity). Loss drowns growth fast unless resisted.
