I've not been to Gen Con for several years now, though when last I looked to attend I saw that they caved to the woke mob and had a vax and mask mandate to attend.
I'm sure that's dropped now, but I still am burned by it, and am boycotting them for a time. There are other cons that get my $.
Expecting wizards of the coast to not be a libtard cesspool is kinda hilarious to read on this site. The nerds I follow who are into their games paint a pretty clear picture on how much they despise their own player base. Hell they got mad when a guy was pointing out it might not be a good idea to let a pedo run official locals or something years ago lol.
Table top gaming used to be math nerds like Gary Gygax. The kind that didn't give a shit about social justice weenies because they didn't fit in elsewhere.
Once fantasy went mainstream when the Lord of the Rings movie came out, the fantasy fan sub-culture got slowly, like everywhere else, taken over by libtards. However, there are still a lot of players who are not libtards. Most of the subculture in fact.
The giant convention center in downtown Milwaukee was the most convenient, and nicest place in my opinion. The one in Indy is okay, but it was super cheap to get a room to stay at a vacant college dorm room in Milwaukee within walking distance of the con when it was there. You don't really have that option in Indy, which is partially why I've only gone twice since they moved.
The moral decay we see now started long, long before D&D was created in the 1970s, which is not much different from wargaming with miniatures. If you could trace it to one thing, it would be the contraceptive pill.
I suppose the point I hope you get, is that "moral panics" about playing heavy metal records backwards and it supposedly sounding like the band telling you to commit suicide, is a distraction from the real moral issues, and that's often on purpose.
Music has a huge influence on people and led the cultural "revolution" of the 60s which continues to this day. Heavy metal is often times inspired by satanic people. These are people who are occultists into black magic. In fact it goes all the way back to the "king" of rock n roll Elvis, and that trend never stopped. Popular music is still dominated by occultists and even outright satanists.
Freemansons and Jews at the top of the industry pump out shitty music pushing degeneracy, I won't disagree. But that's not even low hanging fruit. Even if you reformed the industry, there is at least 50 years of old music that won't just disappear. The days of a book burning being effective are long gone. For every one man whacking the branches, there's one pointing out you have to take an axe to the root.
Video games are worse for this. Table top role playing or wargaming involves human interaction, a group of friends usually. Good stuff, sometimes with stupid drama though.
That’s cute. It operates on the exact same principles. Low-IQ Christian Literalists seeing Satanic and demonic forces in every single thing they look at, trembling in fear at a world that they don’t understand. It’s every single thread.
Yes, it's very cute. You're perceptive enough, I give you that, to pick up the purpose of the thread I created on accident by mocking it, but not quite on par beyond that, to understand that it's both satire, and a call to get people to re-focus on larger issues. There is hope for you, God willing.
I'll be at GenCon next week if anyone wants to hang out and play some games.

Thanks for the offer though!
I also skipped the last 3 years due to the mandates, when my kind clearly was unwelcome. I'm hoping this year is a return to greatness.

where are they doing GenCon these days? or does it vary year to year?
Indianapolis, Indiana. Moved from Milwaukee in the early 2000s, and before that Lake Geneva, WI (thus the name Gen Con).
by the time i'd heard about it, '86, it was in Milw. grew up near there but never made it. iirc, they had it at UWParkside one year.

We wouldn't want a moral panic, oh no. Anyway its time for my kid's drag show appointment.
Way to totally misunderstand the point. Like on another planet level of misunderstanding.
The moral decay we see now started somewhere. This was decades on the making. All the previous evil was still also evil.

My only prob with rpg is that if u live in a fantasy world u might get stuck there cuz it's easier then reality.
Nowadays though kids r 100% programmed and society is so shitty hard not to escape.
Otherwise harmless.

Fuck that. Hard pass on demonic D&D shit.
Meh, evangelical tripe.
Okay, go back to your gay fantasy larping and 100-sided dice, faggot.
lol
Hahahaha!!!!
Conservative moral panic is alway quite pathetic.
lol, is this entire forum not an outlet for the exact same type of moral panic?
No, it's not.
